Sift Skills is not an ATS. We're a candidate analysis platform with optional lightweight job and application management.
Instead of manually screening resumes, Sift Skills automatically analyzes and scores every candidate in your pipeline. Each candidate gets an evidence-based breakdown of strengths, gaps, transferable skills, and fit, cross-referenced against LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolios when available. This gives you a clear view of who to move forward and why, in a fraction of the time.
Analyzed candidates stay searchable, so when a new role opens, your next hire may already be in your pipeline.
No. Sift Skills analyzes the candidates you bring in. Collect applications through a job post you create on our platform, or paste a job and upload candidate resumes directly into Sift Skills. We handle the analysis, and every candidate's skills and experience stay searchable in our platform.
Yes. Sift Skills accepts PDF and DOCX files uploaded directly, with support for drag-and-drop, folders, and ZIP uploads of up to 100 resumes at a time.
You can also enable our Chrome extension to send resumes from your inbox or computer directly into Sift Skills for analysis while you continue your workflow.
General AI tools were not built for hiring. You can paste a resume into ChatGPT and get a response, but the output depends entirely on how you prompt it. Change the wording and you may get a different result. That inconsistency makes it difficult to trust what you're getting back, compare candidates, or stay aligned as a team.
Sift Skills uses a structured, multi-step framework to evaluate every candidate and generate an evidence-based score with clear, transparent reasoning. Resumes are anonymized, experience is cross-referenced against candidates LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolios when available. Results are organized, summarized, and easy to share with your team or clients directly from our platform.
Our analysis works best on roles with clearly defined requirements. Technical roles and core business functions like operations, sales, and product produce the strongest results. Roles that rely heavily on personality or traits that cannot be demonstrated through a resume or application are not a good fit.
Yes. Sift Skills provides decision support, not decision making. Human judgment catches what a resume alone can't show.
Every candidate receives a score so you can prioritize at a glance. Click into any candidate to see a summary and full analysis, backed by evidence from their resume and cross-referenced sources like LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolios when available.
Before analysis, we remove identifying details like candidate names, employer names, school names, email addresses, phone numbers, and street addresses. Scoring is performed on this redacted version of the resume. We match each job requirement to documented evidence and score based on what the resume shows, not assumptions about what a candidate can or cannot do. This helps keep the focus on qualifications and impact rather than identity, employer recognition, or school prestige.
We also instruct the system not to penalize employment gaps, career changes, freelance work, or non-traditional career paths when a candidate's experience demonstrates they can do the job. When information is missing, we describe it as missing evidence on the resume, not proof that a candidate lacks a skill or qualification.
Once analysis is complete, all redacted details are restored. Your team always has access to the full resume and profile and remains responsible for the final hiring decision.
